We take the protection of our children very seriously at Stagecoach Theatre Arts.
We are dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment for all our students and have a protection protocol that is used as an example of best practice when child protection issues are discussed.

All of our principals, teachers and assistants are police checked to the highest level.  They must receive an enhanced clearance via the DBS – Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly the CRB check) – before they are allowed to work with our children.

A vital part of Stagecoach’s child protection arrangements is that each school is run by a principal whose role is to supervise rather than teach.  We also keep our class sizes small to ensure each student can be effectively supervised.

All our Stagecoach principals also have direct contact with a dedicated child protection team at Phoenix Forensic Consultants. They offer us professional help and advice on those rare occasions that it is required.

Stagecoach is proud to have been one of the first children’s organisations to set up a protection protocol for its schools.
